Joining the Nixon Era discusion list via the web interface:
The easiest way to join the Nixon Era list and to reap the benefits of its functionality is through its web page. When you
have joined and established a password, drop down boxes on the
site will allow you to access your subscription and set options like
"digest" or "nomail." Visitors may access the list's archive at the
same location.
The "digest" option allows members to receive one message on a daily basis. This prevents you from receiving a multitude of messages in your e-mail box, yet still receive the messages in a timely and convenient manner. The digest message will be delivered at approximately midnight (eastern time) and will contain all of the messages from that particular day. On days when no messages are posted, you will not receive a digest message.
The "nomail" option provides you membership to the list but does not send messages to your e-mail box. You may, however, read messages either through the web interface or through the Nixon newsgroup via your news reading software.
