The Nixon Era Center desires to promote free and open discussion regarding issues relating to the Nixon Era. Currently we offer two vehicles for such deliberation: the Nixon Era list and the Nixon Era bulletin board. For additional resources, see the links page.

Available in three formats (email list, newsgroup and web discussion group), the Nixon Era discussion list has been established as a forum for the exchange of ideas about Watergate, President Nixon, and the "Research Collection on the Nixon Presidency." Anyone may subscribe to the Nixon Era list, and subscribers with differing views are encouraged to debate them on this list. However, subscribers must maintain a civil, courteous tone in all postings, refrain from engaging in personal attacks on other subscribers, and keep postings within the scope of the list. While only subscribers may post to the list, visitors may view the archives. Dr. Peter Klingman will moderate the list.

This threaded discussion bulletin board features the following topics:

  • 7 days in December: the military spy ring moves against Nixon

  • Bob Woodward/Deep Throat: facts & fiction

  • Dean v. St. Martin's

  • Nixon Presidency

  • the CIA & the Watergate Break in, and

  • the Nixon Legacy

This discussion medium is completely web based and anyone is free to join and participate. Like with the Nixon list, we ask that comments be appropriate and participants be congenial. Dr. Peter Klingman will moderate this forum.
